Abbreviations

- sc - single crochet
- dc - double crochet
- sl st - slip stitch
- st(s) - stitch(es)

Instructions
- Start with a foundation chain: Make a foundation chain of 31 stitches (ch 31).
- Row 1: In the 2nd chain from the hook, make 1 single crochet (sc). Continue to sc in each chain across. Total stitches: 30. Turn your work.
- Row 2: Ch 1. In the first stitch, make 1 sc. Then, make 1 double crochet (dc) in the next stitch. *1 sc in the next stitch, 1 dc in the next stitch* – repeat from * to * across the row. End with 1 sc in the last stitch. Turn your work.
- Row 3: Ch 1. In the first stitch, make 1 sc. Now, make 1 dc in the next sc from the previous row. *1 sc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next sc* – repeat from * to * across the row. End with 1 sc in the last stitch. Turn your work.
- Repeat Rows 2 and 3: Continue repeating Rows 2 and 3 until your dishcloth measures approximately 10 inches from the beginning. You should have roughly 20 rows total.
- Final Row: In your last row, make sure to finish with a sc to give it a neat edge.
- Creating the Hanging Loop: Ch 10, sl st to the first sc of the last row to create a loop. Cut the yarn, leaving an 8-inch tail. Pull the yarn through and tighten it to secure.
- Finish your project: Weave in all yarn ends securely using your yarn needle.
Now you have a lovely textured dishcloth! Make as many as you like to create a matching set!
