Sizes

- 0-3 months
- 3-6 months
- 6-12 months
Back
- Cast on 60 (68, 76) stitches using the lightest shade of yarn.
- Work in k2, p2 ribbing for 1 inch.
- Change to stockinette stitch and begin the gradient transition to the next shade over the next 10 rows.
- Continue in stockinette stitch until the piece measures 8 (9, 10) inches from the cast-on edge.
- Shape the shoulders by binding off 5 (6, 7) stitches at the beginning of the next 4 rows.
- Bind off the remaining stitches.
Front
- Work as for the back until the piece measures 6 (7, 8) inches.
- Begin the textured 3D cable pattern:
- Row 1 (Right Side): K2, *p2, k6, p2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, k2.
- Row 2 (Wrong Side): P2, *k2, p6, k2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, p2.
- Row 3: K2, *p2, C6F (Cable 6 Front), p2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, k2.
- Row 4: Repeat Row 2.
- Repeat Rows 1-4 for the cable pattern.
- Continue until the piece measures 8 (9, 10) inches.
- Shape the shoulders and neck as for the back, but bind off the center 12 (14, 16) stitches for the neck when shaping shoulders.
Sleeves
- Cast on 32 (36, 40) stitches using the lightest shade of yarn.
- Work in k2, p2 ribbing for 1 inch.
- Change to stockinette stitch and begin the gradient transition over the next 10 rows.
- Increase 1 stitch at each end of every 6th row until you have 48 (52, 56) stitches.
- Continue until the sleeve measures 6 (7, 8) inches.
- Bind off.
Hood
- With the darkest shade, pick up and knit 60 (64, 68) stitches along the neck edge.
- Work in stockinette stitch for 6 (7, 8) inches.
- Bind off.
Finishing
- Sew the shoulder seams together.
- Set in the sleeves and sew the side seams.
- Fold the hood in half and sew the back seam.
- Weave in all ends using a tapestry needle.
- Block the finished hoodie to the measurements for a polished look.
