Crocheted Mini Blue Bear Pattern

Materials:

  • Worsted weight yarn in sky blue and white
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Black embroidery floss

Gauge is not crucial for this project. Ensure the stitches are tight to prevent stuffing from showing through.

Abbreviations:

  • st - stitch
  • sc - single crochet
  • inc - increase (2 sc in the same st)
  • dec - decrease (single crochet 2 stitches together)
  • sl st - slip stitch
  • ch - chain

Instructions:

Head:

  1. Using blue yarn, make a magic ring.
  2. Round 1: 6 sc in the ring. (6 sts)
  3. Round 2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
  4. Round 3: (Sc in next st, inc) 6 times. (18 sts)
  5. Round 4: (Sc in next 2 sts, inc) 6 times. (24 sts)
  6. Round 5-10: Sc in each st around. (24 sts)
  7. Round 11: (Sc in next 2 sts, dec) 6 times. (18 sts)
  8. Round 12: (Sc in next st, dec) 6 times. (12 sts)
  9. Stuff the head firmly with fiberfill.
  10. Round 13: Dec around. (6 sts)
  11. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Body:

  1. Using blue yarn, make a magic ring.
  2. Round 1: 6 sc in the ring. (6 sts)
  3. Round 2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
  4. Round 3: (Sc in next st, inc) 6 times. (18 sts)
  5. Round 4-9: Sc in each st around. (18 sts)
  6. Stuff the body.
  7. Round 10: (Sc in next st, dec) 6 times. (12 sts)
  8. Round 11: Sc in each st around. (12 sts)
  9. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Arms (Make 2):

  1. Using blue yarn, make a magic ring.
  2. Round 1: 6 sc in the ring. (6 sts)
  3. Round 2: Sc in each st around. (6 sts)
  4. Rounds 3-6: Repeat round 2. (6 sts)
  5. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Legs (Make 2):

  4. Rounds 3-7: Repeat round 2. (6 sts)

Muzzle:

  3. Round 2: (Sc in next st, inc) 3 times. (9 sts)
  4. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Assembly:

  1. Sew the head to the body.
  2. Attach the arms to the sides of the body.
  3. Sew the legs to the bottom of the body.
  4. Attach the ears to the side of the head.
  5. Sew the muzzle onto the front of the head.
  6. Use black embroidery floss to stitch eyes and mouth.

Your mini blue bear is now ready to cuddle!
