Materials

• Small amounts of dk weight yarn (3) in vibrant colors: yellow, teal, pink, and deep green
• 4 mm crochet hook
• Yarn needle to weave in ends
• Scissors

Each coaster measures approximately 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter.

Instructions

Flower Center

1. With brown yarn, make a magic ring.
2. Round 1: Ch 1, 6 sc into the ring. Pull tight and sl st to the first sc to join (6).

Petals

1. Change to yellow yarn.
2. Round 2: Ch 1, *(2 dc, ch 2, sl st) in the next sc, skip the next sc* repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st in the first petal (6 petals).

Layering Colors

1. Change to teal yarn.
2. Round 3: Ch 1, 1 sc in the first petal space, *1 hdc in the next, 2 dc in the next, 1 hdc* repeat around (6 groups).
3. Join and cut yarn.

Leaf Making (Make 2)

1. With deep green yarn, ch 10.
2. Row 1: 1 sc in the 2nd ch from hook, 1 hdc in the next, 1 dc in the next 5 ch, 1 hdc, 1 sc in the last ch. Turn, working in the other side of the chain, repeat pattern (20 total stitches).
3. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly

1. Sew the leaves to the bottom of the flower center using the tail from the leaves.
2. Weave in all ends, and your coasters are ready to use!

Care Instructions

Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry.
