Materials Needed:

  • Worsted weight yarn in 3 colors (light, medium, and dark shades)
  • Crochet hook (5.5 mm / I-9)
  • Scissors

Gauge:

4” x 4” = 15 stitches and 10 rows in pattern stitch

Abbreviations:

  • ch = chain
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • sc = single crochet
  • dc = double crochet
  • cbl = cable stitch
  • st(s) = stitch(es)

Pattern:

Starting Cuff:

  1. With Color A (light), ch 28 (or adjust for desired size).
  2. Join with a sl st to form a ring, being careful not to twist the chain.
  3. Round 1: Ch 2, dc in each ch around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2.
  4. Rounds 2-4: Repeat Round 1.

Cable Pattern:

Now switch to Color B (medium) for the cable texture.

  1. Round 5: Ch 2, *cbl over the next 4 stitches, dc in the next 4 stitches; repeat from * around. Join.
  2. Rounds 6-11: Repeat Round 5.

Transition to Color C:

  1. Round 12: Change to Color C (dark), ch 2, dc in each stitch around. Join.
  2. Round 13: Ch 2, dc in each stitch around. Join.

Final Rows:

  1. Continue with Color C, and repeat Round 13 for 4 more rounds.
  2. Finish with a sl st and end off, weave in all the ends.
