Textured Waffle Knit Soap Pouch

Materials:
- Worsted weight cotton yarn in two contrasting colors
- Crochet hook size H/8 (5.0 mm)
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Tape measure

Abbreviations:
CH - Chain
SC - Single Crochet
DC - Double Crochet
SL ST - Slip Stitch
WS - Wrong Side
RS - Right Side

Gauge:
4 inches = 14 stitches in double crochet.

Instructions:

Base

1. With Color A, CH 22.
2. Row 1: DC in the 4th CH from hook. DC in each CH across. (20 DC)
3. Row 2: CH 2, turn. DC in first DC, *BPDC in next DC, FPDC in next DC; repeat from * across. End with DC in the last DC. (20 stitches).
4. Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures 8 inches from the base. Change to Color B.

Body

1. Continue with Color B, CH 2, turn. DC in each DC across.
2. From this row onward, alternate between Color A and Color B every two rows, maintaining the waffle stitch pattern.
3. Work until the piece measures 4 inches high. Fasten off Color B.

Top

1. For the top, switch back to Color A. CH 1, SC around the top edge evenly. Join with a SL ST to the first SC.
2. CH 12, then SL ST back to the base to create a loop for hanging.

Finishing:
Weave in any loose ends with a yarn needle. Gently stretch the pouch to block it into shape.

Care Instructions:
Machine wash cold, tumble dry low.
