4 inches x 4 inches = 16 stitches x 8 rows in pattern stitch

Abbreviations

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• sk = skip

Instructions

Foundation Row

1. Using color A, ch 41.
2. Row 1: Starting in second ch from hook, sc in each ch across. Turn. (40 sc)

Pattern Stitch

1. Row 2: With color B, ch 2 (counts as first dc), dc in next 3 sts, [3 dc in next st, dc in next 4 sts, sk 2 sts, dc in next 4 sts] across, ending with 3 dc in last st. Turn.
2. Row 3: With color C, ch 2, dc in next 3 sts, [3 dc in next st, dc in next 4 sts, sk 2 sts, dc in next 4 sts] across, ending with 3 dc in last st. Turn.
3. Repeat Row 2 and Row 3, alternating colors A, B, and C to create stripe effect, until dishcloth measures about 9 inches or desired length.
