Crochet Easy Textured Dishcloth Set Free Pattern
Brighten up your kitchen with these handmade dishcloths. Designed for both beginners and experienced crocheters, each dishcloth features a simple but effective textured pattern.
Materials:
- Worsted weight cotton yarn in mustard, sage green, ivory, and denim blue
- Crochet hook size H-8 (5.0mm)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Gauge:
Each dishcloth measures approximately 8 inches by 8 inches.
Stitches Used:
- Chain (ch)
- Single Crochet (sc)
- Double Crochet (dc)
Instructions:
Dishcloth:
- With your chosen yarn color, make a slip knot and chain 30.
- Row 1: In the second chain from the hook, work 1 sc. Work 1 sc in each stitch across. Turn. (29 sts)
- Row 2: Ch 1, work 1 sc in each stitch across. Turn.
- Row 3: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), skip the first stitch, *sc in next stitch, dc in the next stitch; repeat from * across. End with a dc in the last stitch. Turn.
- Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each stitch across. Turn.
- Repeat rows 3 and 4 until the piece measures 8 inches, ending on a row 4 repeat.
- Fasten off and weave in ends with a tapestry needle.
Edge (Optional):
- With the same or contrasting yarn, join yarn at any corner and sc evenly around the entire perimeter of the dishcloth. Work 3 sc in each corner to keep edges smooth.
Repeat the pattern with the remaining colors to complete your set.
