Crochet Soft Gradient V-Stitch Blanket Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • Yarn: Bulky weight gradient yarn in shades of purple, pink, and cream (approximately 1200 yards)
  • Crochet Hook: Size N/9.00mm
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Scissors

Abbreviations:

  • ch = chain
  • sc = single crochet
  • dc = double crochet
  • st = stitch
  • sp = space

Instructions:

Foundation Row:

  1. Ch 140 (or any multiple of 3 + 2 for desired width).
  2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across, turn.

Pattern Rows:

  1. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), skip first sc, *(sc, dc, dc) in next st, skip 2 sts; repeat from * across, ending with sc in last st, turn.
  2. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first st, *ch 2, (sc, dc, dc) in next sc, skip 2 dc; repeat from * ending with sc in last st, turn.
  3. Repeat Row 3 until the blanket measures approximately 60 inches or desired length.

Color Changes:

Change yarn color as desired to achieve the gradient effect, making sure to switch colors consistently and weave in ends securely.

Finishing:

Fasten off and weave in all ends with a tapestry needle. Block if necessary to open up the stitches and enhance the drape.
