Crochet Vibrant Geometric Textured Throw Pillow Free Pattern
Materials:
- 4 colors of worsted weight yarn (A: Light Beige, B: Teal, C: Orange, D: Golden Yellow)
- Size H (5 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn needle for weaving in ends
- 16" pillow form
Gauge:
Using the double crochet stitch, 14 stitches and 10 rows = 4" square. Adjust hook size as needed to match gauge.
Pattern Stitches:
- Chain (ch)
- Slip Stitch (sl st)
- Double Crochet (dc)
- Half Double Crochet (hdc)
- Single Crochet (sc)
Pillow Cover Instructions:
Back Panels (make 2): 1. Ch 42. 2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across (40 dc). 3. Row 2: Ch 2, turn, *hdc in next stitch, dc in next stitch,* repeat from * to * across (40 stitches total). 4. Repeat Row 2 until back panel measures 16". 5. Fasten off and weave in ends. Front Panel: 1. Ch 42 with Color A. 2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across (40 dc). 3. Row 2: Ch 2, turn, *hdc in next stitch, dc in next stitch,* repeat from * to * across (40 sts total). 4. Change to Color B, Row 3: Ch 2, turn, *2 dc in first st, dc in next 3 sts,* repeat from * to * across, end with 2 dc in last st (48 sts). 5. Change to Color C, Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first st, *sk 1, 5 dc in next st, sk 1, sc in next st,* repeat from * to * across (72 sts, making sure to finish the row with a sc). 6. Change to Color D, Row 5: Ch 2, turn, *2 dc in first st, dc across,* repeat until end of row (72 sts). 7. Repeat Rows 2-5 two more times, then finish with Row 2. 8. Fasten off and weave in ends.Assembly:
1. Lay the front panel face up. 2. Place the two back panels on top, overlapping them to create an envelope style back. 3. Using sl st with Color A, join all three sides together, making sure to keep the edges even. 4. Insert pillow form into the cover before closing the final edge. 5. Fasten off and weave in ends.Care Instructions:
