Instructions
Center Flower
- With yellow yarn, form a magic ring. Ch 2, work 12 dc into the ring. Join with sl st to first dc. (12 dc)
- Change to pink yarn, ch 3, (1 tr, 1 tr, ch 3) in each dc around. Join with sl st. (12 petals)
First Border
- With cream yarn, join in any ch-3 space, ch 1, *sc in ch-3 space, sc in next 3 tr*, repeat from * to * around. Join with sl st. (48 sc)
- Ch 2, dc in each sc around. Join with sl st.
Floral Motifs
- Using white yarn, create small flower motifs: Magic ring, ch 1, 8 sc in ring. Fasten off. Make 4.
- Using pink yarn, create medium flower motifs: Magic ring, ch 2, 12 dc in ring. Fasten off. Make 4.
- Using yellow yarn, create small puff dandelion motifs: Ch 2, 6 puff sts in second ch from hook. Fasten off. Make 4.
Leafy Vines
- With green yarn, ch 15, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each across, turn.
- Ch 3, dc, 3 tr, dc, sl st in next 3 sts (to form a leaf), repeat once more for a total of 8 leaves. Fasten off.
Assembly
- Sew flower motifs and leafy vines along the edges of the square, following the design in the image. Leave equal spacing between motifs for a balanced look.
- Join additional squares or continue adding borders to achieve your desired blanket size.
Final Border
- With cream yarn, ch 1, sc around entire square, placing 3 sc in each corner. Join with sl st.
- Switch to green yarn, repeat another round of sc. Join with sl st and fasten off.
Weave in all ends neatly.
