Crochet Luxurious Lacy Textured Tunic Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Approx. 1200 (1300, 1400, 1500, 1600) yards of DK weight yarn
• 3.5mm crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Stitch markers
• Scissors
• Measuring tape

Gauge:

15 double crochet stitches and 10 rows = 4 inches in pattern stitch.

Sizes:

Pattern includes instructions for sizes XS to 5XL. Adjustments for sleeve length and tunic length are detailed below.

Special Stitches:

• Shell Stitch: Work 5 double crochets in the same stitch.
• Front Post Double Crochet (FPdc): Yarn over, insert hook from the front around the post of the stitch below, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over and finish as a double crochet.

Instructions:

Body

1. Chain 108 (114, 120, 126, 132) for the foundation chain.
2. Row 1: DC in 4th chain from hook, dc across to end, turn.
3. Row 2: Ch 3, *shell in next stitch, skip 2 stitches, dc in next; repeat from * to end, turn.
4. Row 3-5: Repeat Row 2.
5. Row 6: Ch 3, FPdc around the first shell stitch, *shell in next stitch, FPdc around next; repeat from * to end, turn.
6. Continue alternating between Shell Stitch and FPdc for 6 more rows or until desired length is reached from the shoulder down to the hem.

Sleeves

1. Join yarn at underarm, chain 40 for the sleeve foundation chain.
2. Row 1: DC in 4th chain from hook, dc across to end, turn.
3. Row 2-3: Repeat Shell Stitch pattern as for body.
4. Repeat increasing the number of rows for longer sleeves as desired.

Finishing

1. Weave in all ends with yarn needle.
2. Block the tunic lightly to shape and open the lace.
