Instructions

Hat

1. Begin with a magic circle.
2. Round 1: 6 sc in magic circle. Join with sl st. (6 sts)
3. Round 2: inc in each st around. Join with sl st. (12 sts)
4. Round 3: (sc in next st, inc) around. Join with sl st. (18 sts)
5. Round 4: (sc in next 2 sts, inc) around. Join with sl st. (24 sts)
6. Round 5: (sc in next 3 sts, inc) around. Join with sl st. (30 sts)
7. Continue in this pattern, increasing each round by adding one more sc between increases, until you reach 48 sts or the desired size.
8. Rounds 10-20: sc in each st around. Join with sl st. (48 sts)

Ribbed Brim

1. Row 1: ch 6, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across, sl st in next 2 sts of hat. Turn. (5 sts)
2. Row 2: Skip the 2 sl sts, sc in back loop only of each st across, ch 1. Turn. (5 sts)
