Cozy Orange Garter Stitch Cowl Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Yarn: Bulky weight, 100% wool, in vibrant orange (approximately 150-200 yards)
- Needles: US Size 10 (6 mm) 24-inch circular needles
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Gauge:
12 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch
Abbreviations:
- CO - Cast On
- K - Knit
- P - Purl
- St(s) - Stitch(es)
- PM - Place Marker
- SM - Slip Marker
Instructions:
- Cast On:
Using your circular needles, CO 80 stitches. Join in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches. PM to indicate the beginning of the round.
- Begin Garter Stitch:
The garter stitch in the round is worked by alternating knit and purl rounds.
- Round 1: K all sts around.
- Round 2: P all sts around.
