Pink Starburst Crochet Blanket Pattern
Materials
- Worsted weight yarn: 3 skeins of pink, 2 skeins of cream
- Crochet hook size H/8 (5.0 mm)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Gauge
12 dc and 8 rows = 4 inches
Abbreviations
- ch: chain
- dc: double crochet
- sl st: slip stitch
Instructions
Center Circle
- Begin with a magic ring.
- Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 15 dc in ring, sl st to top of ch 3. (16 dc)
- Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, sl st to top of ch 3. (32 dc)
- Round 3: Ch 3, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st* repeat from * to * around, sl st to top of ch 3. (48 dc)
Starburst Pattern
- Round 4: Change to cream yarn. Ch 3, sk next st, *(dc, ch 2, dc) in next st (creates a peak), sk 1 st, dc in next* repeat around, sl st to top of ch 3.
- Round 5: Ch 3, dc in each st to ch-2 sp, *(dc, ch 2, dc) in ch-2 sp, dc in each st to next ch-2 sp* repeat around, sl st to top of ch 3.
- Rounds 6-15: Repeat Round 5, switching colors between pink and cream every two rounds.
Border
- Round 16: Continue with pink yarn. Ch 1, sc in each st around, working 3 sc in each ch-2 sp, sl st to first sc.
Finishing
Fasten off and weave in all ends with a tapestry needle.
