Materials
- Crochet thread in orange and blue.
- Crochet hook size 1.75 mm.
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
- Scissors.

Abbreviations
- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- dc - double crochet
- tr - treble crochet
- sl st - slip stitch
- sp - space
- rep - repeat
Instructions
Base Oval Shape
- With orange or blue thread, ch 45. Join with sl st to form a ring, being careful not to twist the chain.
- Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in same sp, ch 2, skip 3 chs, *3 dc in next sp, ch 2, skip 3 chs*. Rep from * to * around. Join with sl st to top of beginning ch 3.
- Round 2: Sl st to next ch-2 sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, ch 2, *3 dc in next ch-2 sp, ch 2*. Rep from * to * around. Join with sl st to top of beginning ch 3.
Easter Egg Center
- With matching thread, ch 20. Join with sl st to form a small ring. This will be the top loop.
- Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 9 dc into ring. Join with sl st to top of beginning ch 3. (10 dc)
- Round 2: Ch 4 (counts as tr), *tr in next dc, ch 1*. Rep from * to * around. Join with sl st to top of beginning ch 4. (20 sts).
Joining Egg to Base
- Align the egg center with the base shape, ensuring the hanging loop is on top.
- Use invisible thread or matching color to sew the egg center to the middle of the base.
Finishing
- Weave in all ends with a tapestry needle.
- Block lightly if necessary to ensure the lace pattern opens up nicely.
- Attach a decorative string or ribbon to the top loop for hanging.
