Instructions

Foundation Row

1. Ch 36 loosely.

Row 1

1. Dc in 5th ch from hook (counts as dc, ch 1, skip 1 ch), *ch 1, skip 1 ch, dc in next ch* across, turn.

Row 2

1. Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), *dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1* across, ending with dc in last dc, turn.

Rows 3-60

1. Repeat Row 2 until scarf reaches desired length or until you have completed 60 rows. You may adjust the number of rows depending on your preferred dimensions.

Finish

Fasten off and weave in all ends using the tapestry needle. Block the scarf lightly to open up the lace stitches and shape the scarf.

Finishing Touches

Consider adding a fringe or tassels to each end for an added flair. To create a fringe, cut lengths of yarn twice the desired length of the fringe. Fold in half and pull through the ends of the scarf with a crochet hook. Secure by pulling the ends through the loop created.
