Instructions:

1. Foundation Row: Ch 24.

3. Row 2: Ch 2, turn, dc in first sc, *ch 1, skip next sc, dc in next sc; repeat from * across. (12 dc, 11 ch-1 spaces)
4. Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each dc and ch-1 space across. (23 sc)
5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until scarf measures 54 inches. Fasten off.

Creating the Snowman Appliqué:

1. In white yarn, make a magic ring.
2. Round 1: 6 sc in the magic ring.
3. Round 2: (sc, inc) around. (9 sc)
4. Round 3: (2 sc, inc) around. (12 sc)
5. Change to black yarn and make a small circle for the hat. Attach to the top of the snowman.
