Whimsical Wavy Rainbow Scarf

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn in 5 colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue (approximately 50g each)
• Crochet hook size H (5.0 mm)
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:

12 double crochets (dc) = 4 inches in length; check your gauge to ensure correct size.

Instructions:

Foundation Chain:

Ch 30 with your first color (Red).

Row 1:

Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across. Turn.

Row 2:

Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in next dc, *skip 1 dc, 2 dc in next dc; repeat from * across. Turn.

Row 3:

Ch 3, dc in next dc, *skip 1 dc, 2 dc in next dc; repeat from * across. Turn.

Change Color:

At the end of Row 3, change to the next color (Orange) and repeat Rows 2 and 3 for each remaining color (Yellow, Green, Blue).

Finish:

Continue until your scarf reaches approximately 60 inches in length, finishing with a Blue row.

Border (Optional):

With your choice of color, sc around the entire edge of the scarf, placing 3 sc in each corner to turn smoothly.

Weave in Ends:

Use tapestry needle to weave in any loose ends.

Care Instructions:

Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry.
