Whimsical Twisted Lantern Bag - Free Crochet Pattern

Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight cotton or acrylic yarn (approx. 150 yards)

Gauge:
14 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches in twisted stitch pattern (sample only; it’s not crucial for this project)

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
tr = treble crochet

Body of the Bag:

1. Start with a magic ring. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 11 dc into the ring. Pull the tail to close the ring tight. Join with sl st to the top of ch 3. (12 dc)
2. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in the same stitch, 2 dc in each stitch around. Join. (24 dc)
3. Round 3: Ch 3, *dc in next stitch, 2 dc in the next stitch; repeat from * around. Join. (36 dc)
