Instructions:

  1. Start with a foundation chain of 40 CH.
  2. Row 1: In the 4th CH from the hook, work 1 DC. *Skip the next CH, work 5 DC in the following CH (this creates a leaf), skip 1 CH.* Repeat from * to * until 2 CH remain. DC in the last CH. Turn.
  3. Row 2: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC). In the same stitch, work 1 DC. *In the next chain space, work 5 DC, skip the next 2 DC where the leaf is, then work 2 DC into the next DC stitch.* Repeat from * to * until the last leaf. Work 2 DC in the top of the last DC. Turn.
  4. Row 3: CH 3, work 2 DC in the same stitch. *Skip the next 5 DC, work 5 DC in the next chain space for the leaf, skip the next 2 DC.* Repeat from * to * until the last leaf. Finish with 3 DC in the top of the last DC. Turn.
  5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the scarf reaches your desired length, finishing with Row 2.
