Pattern Instructions

Carrot Body

1. Using orange yarn, make a magic ring.
2. Round 1: 6 sc in the ring. (6 sts)
3. Round 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 sts)
4. Round 3: (1 sc, 2 sc in the next st) rep around. (18 sts)
5. Round 4: (2 sc, 2 sc in the next st) rep around. (24 sts)
6. Round 5-12: Sc in each st around. (24 sts each round)
7. Round 13: (2 sc, sc2tog) rep around. (18 sts)
8. Round 14: (1 sc, sc2tog) rep around. (12 sts)
9. Stuff the carrot with filling of choice, like candy.
10. Round 15: Sc2tog around. (6 sts)
11. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Weave the tail through the final round and cinch to close. Weave in ends.

Carrot Top

1. Using green yarn, join with sl st to top of the carrot, ch 1.
2. Round 1: 2 sc in each st around. (12 sts)
3. Round 2: Sc in each st around. (12 sts)
4. Round 3: (1 sc, 2 sc in the next st) rep around. (18 sts)
5. Round 4: Sl st in each st around. (18 sts)
6. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Drawstring

1. Using green yarn, ch 70. Fasten off.
2. Weave the chain through Round 3 of the carrot top, pull to close, and tie a bow.

Optional Leaves

1. Using green yarn, ch 6, sl st in second ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next, dc in next, 3 dc in last ch. Fasten off.
2. Attach leaves at the top of the carrot if desired.
