Materials

• Weight 5 bulky yarn – approximately 600 yards

• sc = single crochet

Instructions

Base Star Shape

1. Start with a magic ring, ch 3 (counts as first dc).
2. In the ring, work 14 dc. Pull the ring tight to close. Join with sl st to top of first ch 3 (15 dc total).
3. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st as join, 2 dc in each st around. Join with sl st (30 dc).
4. Round 3: Ch 3, (dc in next st, 2 dc in next st) repeat around. Join (45 dc).
5. Round 4: Ch 3, dc in each st around. Join (45 dc).

Creating Points

1. To form star points, (ch 3, dc in next st, ch 3, sl st in next st) in each of the next 5 st to create points.
2. Continue working around, making sure to create 5 points in total.

Finishing Edges

1. For the final round, work a border by making (sc, ch 2, sc) in each point ch-3 space.
2. Fasten off and weave in all ends.

Customization
