- Worsted weight yarn in three contrasting colors
- Size H (5.0mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors

Gauge is not critical for this project, but aim for 16 stitches and 20 rows in single crochet to measure 4 inches.
Pattern Instructions:
Base:
Ch 26.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. (25 sc)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each sc.
Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures 12 inches long.
Triangle Sides:
Now we will create the triangular shape by decreasing stitches.
Row 1: Ch 1, sc 10 (10 stitches remain).
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc2tog, sc across (9 stitches).
Continue decreasing by 1 sc each row until you have 1 sc left. Fasten off.
Color Block Section:
Change to Color B.
Attach yarn to one edge of the triangle base and sc around the entire shape, making two sc in each corner for a rounded finish. Fasten off.
Change to Color C and repeat the sc around the entire shape.
Strap (optional):
Ch 80 (adjust for desired length).
Row 1: Sc in each ch back to start. Fasten off.
Assembly:
For a closure, you can either sew in a magnetic clasp at the top edge or attach a zipper. If desired, line the inside with fabric for a more finished look.
Finishing Touches:
Weave in all yarn ends and you're ready to show off your new textured clutch!
