Crochet Textured Puff Stitch Bath Mitt Free Pattern

Materials

• Worsted weight cotton yarn in cream
• Crochet hook size G/4.0 mm
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• ps = puff stitch (yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, insert hook into same stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, draw through all loops on hook)
• sl st = slip stitch
• st(s) = stitch(es)

Instructions

Ribbed Cuff

1. Ch 11.
2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (10 sc)
3. Rows 2-20: Ch 1, sc in back loops only in each st across. Turn.
4. Join ends: Fold piece in half and sl st through both layers to form a loop. This will be the cuff of the mitt.

Main Body

1. Round 1: Ch 1, sc evenly around the top edge of the cuff, making sure the total number is divisible by 4. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (36 sc)
2. Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in same st, *skip next st, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch-3.
3. Round 3: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join with a sl st to the first sc.
4. Round 4: Ch 1, ps in first st, *ch 1, skip next st, ps in next st; repeat from * around. Join with a sl st to the first ps.
5. Rounds 5-15: Repeat Rounds 2-4, ending with a sc round.
6. Finish off and weave in ends.

Thumb Loop

1. Ch 15, sl st to form a loop. Attach to the side of the mitt.
