Crochet Simple Textured Soap Saver Free Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Cotton yarn in natural color
- Crochet hook size H/8 (5.0 mm)
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Wooden bead (optional)
Stitches Used:
- Chain (ch)
- Single Crochet (sc)
- Slip Stitch (sl st)
Instructions:
Step 1: Create the Base
Chain 20. This will be the width of your soap saver.
Round 1: Single crochet (sc) in the second chain from hook and in each chain across. (19 sc)
Round 2: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across.
Step 2: Create the Mesh Pattern
Round 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in the first stitch. *Ch 1, skip 1 stitch, sc in next stitch.* Repeat from * to * across.
Round 4: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each sc and ch space across.
Repeat Rounds 3 and 4 until you reach the desired height, ending with a Round 4. Approximately 24 rounds in total.
Step 3: Finishing the Top
Round 25: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each stitch across.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Step 4: Add the Drawstring
Cut a piece of yarn about 18 inches long.
Weave the yarn through the top row of stitches to create a drawstring.
Thread the ends through a wooden bead if desired and knot the ends securely.
Trim the excess yarn to your preferred length.
