Crochet Textured Floral Granny Square Free Pattern

Materials Needed:
- Medium-weight (size 4) yarn in peach, yellow, green, and cream
- Size H (5.00 mm) crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Pattern Instructions:
Center of Flower:
- Using yellow yarn, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: Ch 1, work 8 sc into ring. Join with sl st to first sc. (8 sts)
- Round 2: Ch 2, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around. Join with sl st. Fasten off. (16 sts)
Flower Petals:
- Attach peach yarn to any stitch on the last round of the center.
- Round 3: Ch 2, (dc, ch 1, dc) in same st, *skip next st, (dc, ch 1, dc) in next st; repeat from * around. Join with sl st.
- Round 4: Ch 2, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in each ch-1 space around. Join with sl st. Fasten off. (16 petals)
Leaves:
- Using green yarn, ch 10.
- Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook, hdc in next, dc in next 5 ch, hdc in next, sc in last ch. Fasten off.
- Make 6 leaves in total.
Square Background:
- With cream yarn, join to any petal of the flower, ch 1, sc around edge of each petal with sc. Join with sl st at the end of round.
- Round 5: Ch 3, *dc in next st, ch 2, dc in same space; repeat from * around. Join with sl st.
- Round 6: Ch 3, dc in each st around, ensuring corners of ch 2 spaces are kept flat.
Edging:
- Attach peach yarn, ch 1, sc in each st around entire edge of the square. Join with sl st and fasten off.
Weave in all ends securely.
