Instructions

Diamond Motif

1. With Color A, ch 5, join with sl st to form a ring.
2. Round 1: ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc into ring, join with sl st to top of ch 3. (12 dc)
3. Round 2: ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, join with sl st. (24 dc)
4. Change to Color B, ch 4 (counts as tr), tr in next st, *ch 1, 2 tr in next st, repeat from * around, join with sl st. (24 tr)
5. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Creating the Blanket

1. Make 60 diamond motifs alternating between Color A and Color B as the main colors.
2. Join the motifs together using a slip stitch seam to form a checkered pattern.

Border

1. With Color A, join yarn in any corner. ch 1, sc evenly around the edge, working 3 sc in each corner.
2. Round 1: *[sc, ch 2, sc] in each corner, sc across, repeat from * around, join with sl st.
3. Round 2: ch 3, dc in each st around, [dc, ch 2, dc] in each corner.
4. Fasten off and weave in ends.
