Soft Sandy Shoreline Infinity Scarf
Materials:
- Sport weight cotton yarn in: sandy beige, ocean blue, sky blue, and white
- 4.5 mm (US 7) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge:
15 stitches x 10 rows = 4 inches in double crochet (blocked)
Finished Measurements:
Approximately 28 inches in circumference and 8 inches in width.
Pattern Instructions:
Notes: The scarf is worked in the round. You can adjust the length by modifying the number of stitches in the initial chain.
Foundation:
- Start with a foundation chain of 90 stitches using sandy beige yarn.
- Join with a slip stitch to the first chain to form a loop, being careful not to twist the chain.
Body:
- Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), make 1 dc in each chain around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the ch 2.
- Round 2: Change to ocean blue yarn. Ch 2, dc in the first dc, *dc in the next dc; repeat from * around. Join.
- Round 3: Change to sky blue yarn. Ch 2, repeat Round 2.
- Round 4: Change to white yarn. Ch 2, repeat Round 2.
- Round 5: Change back to sandy beige. Ch 2, repeat Round 2.
- Repeat rounds 2-5 until the scarf measures approximately 22 inches in total length. You can adjust the number of rounds for longer or shorter scarves.
Finishing:
- Last Round: With sandy beige yarn, ch 2, dc in each dc around. Join. Fasten off and weave in all ends with a tapestry needle.
Care Instructions:
Hand wash gently and lay flat to dry to maintain the yarn's quality.
