Crochet Modern Geometric Striped Scarf Free Pattern
Materials Needed:
- 3 skeins of bulky weight yarn (choose colors like navy, cream, and vibrant orange)
- Size N (10mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- Measuring tape
Gauge: 8 double crochets (dc) and 6 rows = 4 inches in pattern stitch.
Finished Size: Approximately 60 inches long and 8 inches wide.
Stitch Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- dc = double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
Instructions:
- Foundation Row: Ch 20.
- Row 1: Dc in the 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across. Turn. (18 dc)
- Row 2: Ch 2, dc in the first dc, *ch 1, skip next dc, dc in next dc. Repeat from * across, ending with a dc in last dc. Turn.
- Row 3: Ch 2, dc in first dc, dc in each ch-1 space across. Turn.
- Repeat Rows 2 and 3: Until the scarf measures about 58 inches, changing colors every 8 rows for striped effect.
- Finishing: Once desired length is reached, finish with a row of dc for a clean edge.
- To add fringe, cut 20 pieces of yarn 10 inches long and tie them at both ends of the scarf.
