Materials:

• 1 skein of #6 super bulky yarn (approx. 100 yards)
• 10mm crochet hook
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge: 8 stitches x 6 rows = 4" in Herringbone Stitch (unstretched)

Stitch Abbreviations:

• ch - chain
• sc - single crochet
• hdc - half double crochet
• sl st - slip stitch
• hst - Herringbone stitch

Pattern Instructions:

1. Start by chaining 25. This is your foundation chain.
2. Row 1: Sc in the 2nd chain from the hook and in each chain across. (24 stitches)
3. Row 2: Ch 1, turn, hdc in each stitch across. (24 stitches)
4. Row 3: Ch 1, turn, hst in each stitch across. Note: to make a hst, yarn over and insert hook in the next stitch, yarn over and pull through, yarn over and pull through the first two loops on your hook, yarn over and pull through remaining two loops. (24 stitches)
5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the piece measures approximately 20 inches long or desired length.
6. To finish, sl st the ends together to form a loop. Weave in ends using tapestry needle.
