Crochet Festive Peppermint Candy Wreath Free Pattern

Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight yarn in red, green, and white
- 5.0mm crochet hook
- Wreath form
- Polyfill stuffing
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations:
- ch: chain
- sc: single crochet
- sl st: slip stitch
- inc: increase (2 sc in one stitch)
- dec: decrease (sc two stitches together)
Pattern Instructions:
Peppermint Candy:
- With white yarn, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: Ch 1, 6 sc in ring. Join with sl st to first sc. (6 sts)
- Round 2: Ch 1, inc in each st around. Join. (12 sts)
- Round 3: *Ch 1, sc in next st, inc in next st* repeat around. Change to red or green yarn as desired in the last stitch. (18 sts)
- Round 4: With new color, *sc in next 2 sts, inc in next st* repeat around. Join. (24 sts)
- Continue alternating colors every 2 rounds, and following the increase pattern (adding 1 additional sc between increases each round) until you reach 48 sts.
- Begin decrease rounds by reversing the increase pattern.
- Start stuffing the piece lightly with polyfill as you shape it.
- Continue to decrease down to 6 sts. Finish off, leaving a tail to sew the opening closed.
Assembly:
- Make multiple peppermint candies in both color variations (red and white, green and white).
- Attach each candy to the wreath form securely with yarn and a needle.
- Dot around with crocheted leaves and red 'berry' accents as filler.
- Add a loop for hanging with red yarn at the top of the wreath.
Finishing Touches:
Ensure all elements are securely attached and ends are woven in. Adjust and fluff the wreath components to desired fullness.
