Elegant Textured Triangle Wrap Free Pattern

Materials:

  • Sport weight yarn (approximately 400 yards)
  • 4 mm (G) crochet hook
  • Yarn needle for weaving in ends
  • Scissors

Gauge:

16 stitches and 10 rows = 4 inches in double crochet

Abbreviations:

  • ch = chain
  • dc = double crochet
  • sk = skip
  • st = stitch
  • sp = space

Instructions:

Chain 5 and join with a slip stitch to form a ring.

Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), work 2 dc in the ring, *ch 2, 3 dc in ring; repeat from * two more times. Join with a slip stitch to top of ch-3. (You have 4 ch-2 spaces)

Round 2: Slip stitch to the first ch-2 space, ch 3 (counts as first dc), work 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the same space. *In next ch-2 space work 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc; repeat from * until the last ch-2 space. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the ch-3. (You have 8 ch-2 spaces)

Round 3: Slip stitch to the first ch-2 space, ch 3 (counts as first dc), work 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the same space. *In next ch-2 space work 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc; repeat from * until the last ch-2 space. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the ch-3.

Rows 4-20: Begin working the triangle shape: - Ch 5 (counts as first dc + ch 1), turn. - Work (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in the first dc space, sk next 2 dc, work (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in the next ch-2 space. Repeat until row is complete, ending with your last (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in the very last ch-2 space.

Continue this repeat until your wrap reaches your desired size, remembering that you can adjust based on the yardage available.

Finishing:

Fasten off and weave in all ends. Block your wrap gently to enhance the texture.
