Materials Needed
- Yarn: Light weight, 3 or DK; suggested color: Cream
- Crochet Hook: Size H/5mm
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Gauge
10 dc and 6 rows = 4 inches
Abbreviations
- ch: chain
- sc: single crochet
- dc: double crochet
- st: stitch
- sk: skip
Instructions
Back Panel
- Ch 70.
- Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (67 dc)
- Row 2-40: Ch 3 (counts as a dc here and throughout), dc in each st across. Turn.
Side Panels (Make 2)
- Ch 38.
- Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (35 dc)
- Row 2-40: Ch 3, dc in each st across. Turn.
Sleeves (Make 2)
- Ch 30.
- Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (27 dc)
- Row 2-15: Ch 3, dc in each st across. Turn.
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
Lace Edging
- Join yarn to any corner of a panel.
- Round 1: Ch 1, sc evenly around the edge, working 3 sc in each corner. Join with sl st to first sc.
- Round 2: Ch 3, [dc, ch 1, dc] in same st, sk 1 st, *[dc, ch 1, dc] in next st, sk 1 st; repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of beginning ch-3.
- Round 3: Ch 4, [2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc] in each ch-1 space around. Join with sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch-4.
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
Assembly
- Block each piece to dimensions.
- Seam side panels to back panel at shoulders using a tapestry needle and matching yarn.
- Attach sleeves to body by sewing along armhole edge.
- Weave in all ends thoroughly.
