Electric Zigzag Wrap Pattern

This wrap is worked using basic stitches combined with a unique ridge technique, providing texture and depth. The zigzag pattern is created by alternating colors in a fun and simple way!

Materials

  • Yarn: 2 colors of worsted weight yarn (approx. 400 yards each)
  • Hook: 5.5mm (I-9)
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • Measuring tape

Stitch Abbreviations

  • ch: chain
  • dc: double crochet
  • sl st: slip stitch
  • sp: space
  • tr: triple crochet
  • tog: together

Pattern Instructions

Foundation Row

Ch 90.

Row 1

Dc into the 4th ch from the hook. Dc into each ch across. (88 dc)

Row 2

Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn. Dc in the next dc, *ch 1, sk 1 dc, dc in the next 2 dc; repeat from * across. End with ch 1, sk 1 dc, tr into the top of the turning ch. (43 dc, 22 ch-1 sp)

Row 3

Change to second color. Ch 3, turn. Dc in each dc and into each ch-1 sp across. (65 dc)

Row 4

Ch 3, turn. Dc in the first dc, *ch 1, sk 1 dc, dc in the next 3 dc; repeat from * across. End with ch 1, sk 1 dc, tr into the top of the turning ch.

Repeat Rows 2-4

Continue alternating between the two colors for a total of 14 rows in length, or until you reach your desired size.

Edging

With the first color, sc evenly around the entire wrap, placing 3 sc in each corner. Join with sl st to the first sc. Finish off and weave in all ends.

Finishing
