Cheerful Floral Patchwork Tote Bag

Materials:
- Worsted weight cotton yarn in yellow, orange, green, and cream
- Crochet hook size H (5.0 mm)
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Stitch markers (optional)

Stitch Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• sl st = slip stitch
• sp = space

Pattern:

Floral Motif (Make 4)

Round 1: With yellow yarn, make a magic ring, ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 11 dc in the ring, sl st to join. (12 dc)

Round 2: Ch 3, dc in the same st, *2 dc in next st*, repeat from * to * around, sl st to join. (24 dc)

Round 3: Join orange yarn, ch 1, sc in the same st, *ch 2, skip next st, sc in next st*, repeat from * to * around, sl st to join.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Patchwork Bag Body

Using cream yarn, ch 40 (or desired width).

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc across. (39 sc)

Row 2: Ch 3, turn, dc in each st across.

Repeat Row 2 until the desired height is reached (about 15 rows).

Attach floral motifs to the front, evenly spaced and secured with sl st. 

Bag Base

With cream yarn, ch 40. Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc across. (39 sc)

Make 2 pieces and attach to the bottom of the bag.

Handles (Make 2)

Ch 30, sc in each chain. Fasten off.

Attach handles to the inner edges of the bag sides.

Finishing:

Weave in all ends and block your bag to shape. Enjoy your vibrant summer tote!
