Crochet Charming Twisted Headwrap Free Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Medium weight yarn (approx. 100g)
- 5.0 mm (H) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Measuring tape
Gauge:
12 stitches and 15 rows = 4 inches in half double crochet.
Size:
Adult size: approx. 20 inches in circumference. Adjust for children by decreasing the starting chain.
Stitches Used:
- Chain (ch)
- Half Double Crochet (hdc)
- Slip Stitch (sl st)
Pattern Instructions:
Foundation Row:
Ch 48 (or desired length for smaller size), join with sl st to form a ring, being careful not to twist the chain.
Round 1:
Ch 2 (counts as first hdc here and throughout), hdc in each st around. Join with sl st to top of ch 2.
Round 2-10:
Repeat Round 1 until the piece measures approx. 6 inches in height.
Creating the Twist:
Fold the headwrap in half with the right sides facing each other. Twist one side 180 degrees and bring it back together. Use a slip stitch to join the edges together securely.
Finishing:
Fasten off, weave in any loose ends with a tapestry needle. Optionally, add a decorative button or embellishment for added flair!
