- Stuff the acorn with fiber fill, then complete the round by doing dec until you close the gap. Finish off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Creating the Acorn Cap
- Change to dark grey yarn.
- Make a magic ring.
- Round 1: Ch 1, 6 sc in the ring. (6 stitches)
- Round 2: Inc in each stitch around. (12 stitches)
- Round 3: *1 sc, inc*. Repeat from * to * around. (18 stitches)
- Round 4: *2 sc, inc*. Repeat from * to * around. (24 stitches)
- Rounds 5-6: 1 sc in each stitch around. (24 stitches each round)
- Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing onto the main body of the acorn.
Assembly
- Using the long tail from the acorn cap, sew it onto the top of the main body, ensuring it sits snugly.
- To create the acorn's stem, make a small chain (3-5 ch) with the dark grey yarn. Slip stitch to secure it, then sew it to the top of the cap.
Finishing Touches
- Weave in all loose ends with the tapestry needle.
- Repeat the above steps to create as many acorns as you desire!
Enjoy your delightful crochet acorns! They can be used for holiday decorations, as little gifts, or simply to bring a touch of nature inside.
