Materials

• Worsted weight yarn (approximately 50 yards) in gray
• Size US 8 (5.0 mm) double-pointed needles
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
• Measuring tape

Gauge

20 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch.

Abbreviations

• st = stitch
• k = knit
• p = purl
• k2tog = knit 2 stitches together
• BO = bind off

Instructions

1. Cast On: Using the long tail method, cast on 40 stitches onto one of your double-pointed needles.
2. Join in Round: Carefully join to work in the round, making sure not to twist your stitches. Place a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round.
3. Ribbing: *K2, P2* around until you reach the end of the round. Repeat this for 6 rounds for a cozy ribbed texture.
