Instructions

Body of the Top

  1. Start with the Light Blue yarn:
    • Ch 30.
    • Row 1: Dc in the 4th ch from the hook and in each ch across (28 dc). Turn.
    • Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in next 27 dc (28 dc). Turn.
    • Repeat Row 2 until piece measures 10 inches from the starting chain.
  2. Switch to Sky Blue yarn:
    • Continue with the same pattern for 5 more rows.
  3. Switch to Dark Blue yarn:
    • Continue with the same pattern for 5 rows.
  4. Creating the Neckline:
    • After the last row of Dark Blue, ch 20 (for the back strap) and leave it unworked for the moment.
    • Turn the piece upside down. Ch 1 and sc in each dc for the next 28 dc. This forms the neckline.
    • Once you reach the end, ch 20 for the second strap, and sl st to the other side of the neckline. Fasten off.

Finishing

  1. Weave in all ends with a yarn needle.
  2. Block the top if necessary to shape and even out rows.
