• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• sl st = slip stitch
• st = stitch
• FO = fasten off
• inc = increase
• dec = decrease

Instructions

Base of Beanie:

1. Chain 4, join to form a ring.
2. Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 11 dc in the ring. Join with sl st to top of ch 2 (12 dc).
3. Round 2: Ch 2, 1 dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around. Join (24 dc).
4. Round 3: Ch 2, *1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join (36 dc).
5. Round 4-6: Ch 2, dc in each st around. Join (36 dc each round).

Striped Section:

1. Change to Red yarn.
2. Rounds 7-8: Ch 2, dc in each st around. Join (36 dc each round).
3. Change to White yarn.
4. Rounds 9-10: Ch 2, dc in each st around. Join (36 dc each round).
5. Change to Blue yarn.
6. Round 11: Ch 2, *dc in next 3 sts, inc in next st; repeat from * around. Join (45 dc).

Bell Top:

1. Round 12: Ch 2, *dc in next 4 sts, inc in next st; repeat from * around. Join (54 dc).
2. Round 13: Ch 2, *dc in next 5 sts, inc in next st; repeat from * around. Join (63 dc).
3. Round 14: Ch 2, *dc in next 6 sts, inc in next st; repeat from * around. Join (72 dc).
4. Finish: Ch 1, sc in each st around for a tightened finish, join, and FO.

Finishing Touches:

• Weave in all ends using the yarn needle.
