Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight cotton yarn in four colors: green, pink, cream, and light blue
• Knitting needles size US 7 (4.5 mm)
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:

18 stitches x 24 rows = 4 inches in pattern stitch

Abbreviations:

• CO - Cast on
• K - Knit
• P - Purl
• BO - Bind off

Pattern Instructions:

Small Washcloth (Approximately 5.5" x 5.5")

1. CO 26 stitches.
2. Row 1: *K1, P1; repeat from * to end.
3. Row 2: *P1, K1; repeat from * to end.
4. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until the piece measures approximately 5.5 inches.
5. BO all stitches in pattern.

Medium Washcloth (Approximately 11" x 11")

1. CO 52 stitches.
2. Row 1: *K1, P1; repeat from * to end.
3. Row 2: *P1, K1; repeat from * to end.
4. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until the piece measures approximately 11 inches.
5. BO all stitches in pattern.

Large Washcloth (Approximately 18" x 12")

1. CO 84 stitches.
2. Row 1: *K1, P1; repeat from * to end.
3. Row 2: *P1, K1; repeat from * to end.
4. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until the piece measures approximately 12 inches.
5. BO all stitches in pattern.

Weave in all ends with a tapestry needle. Block washcloths to size if desired.
