Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in three colors (A, B, C) - approximately 200g each

Instructions

Base of Cushion

1. With Color A, make a magic ring.
2. Round 1: Ch 2, 12 dc in the ring. Join with a sl st to the top of the ch-2. (12 dc)
3. Round 2: Ch 2, 2 dc in each st around. Join. (24 dc)
4. Round 3: Ch 2, *1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (36 dc)
5. Round 4: Ch 2, *1 dc in next 2 st, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (48 dc)
6. Round 5: Ch 2, *1 dc in next 3 st, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join. (60 dc)
7. Continue increasing until the base measures 40 cm across, or as desired.

Starburst Motif

1. With Color B, join yarn at any stitch on the perimeter.
2. Ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 5, sc in next st; repeat from * around. Join.
3. Next Round: (In each ch-5 space) 1 dc, 2 tr, 2 dc, 1 sc. Repeat around until complete. Join with a sl st.

Floral Elements

1. With Color C, make 10 petals: Ch 6, sl st back to the first stitch to form a loop.
2. In the loop, work (1 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 1 sc) to form a petal. Fasten off. Repeat for all petals.
3. Attach petals around the center of the starburst, securing each petal with a few stitches.

Assembly
