Crochet Whimsical Textured Floral Pillow Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn in two contrasting colors (Color A and Color B)

Gauge:

12 dc = 4 inches, using Color A in the floral pattern.

Pillow Cover Size:

• Single Crochet (sc)

Instructions:

Floral Motif Square:

1. With Color A, ch 36, turn.
2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook (counts as 1 dc), dc in each ch across. (34 dc)
3. Row 2: Ch 3, turn. *Skip next dc, 5 dc in next dc (shell), skip next dc; repeat from * across, ending with 2 dc in the last dc. (6 shells)
4. Rows 3-8: Repeat Row 2, switching to Color B on Row 3. Change color every 2 rows.
5. Row 9: Ch 1, sc around the whole square, placing 3 sc in each corner. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Backing Panel:

1. With Color A, ch 36.
2. Row 1-12: Repeat rows 1-12 of the Floral Motif Square but do not change colors. Finish with a sc border like the floral square.

Assembly:

1. Place the floral square and backing panel right sides together.
2. Whip stitch or slip stitch along edges, leaving a gap for stuffing.
3. Turn right side out and stuff the pillow with fiberfill.
4. Stitch the opening closed securely.
