Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in three colors: denim blue, beige, and cream
• Crochet hook size H/5.0 mm
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

12 sts and 14 rows = 4 inches in pattern stitch

Finished Size

Approximately 40 inches wide by 60 inches long

Instructions

1. Foundation Row: With denim blue, chain 120.
2. Row 1: DC in 3rd ch from hook and across, turn. (118 sts)
3. Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as first DC), *FPDC around next st, BPDC around next st*; repeat from * to * across, ending with DC in top of turning ch, turn.
4. Row 3: Ch 2, *BPDC around next st, FPDC around next st*; repeat from * to * across, ending with DC in top of turning ch, turn.
5. Repeat Rows 2-3 two more times (6 rows total in denim blue), then switch to cream and repeat Rows 2-3 four times (8 rows total in cream).
6. Switch to beige, repeat Rows 2-3 four times (8 rows total in beige).
7. Continue striping pattern by repeating the above sequence of 8 rows each in denim blue, cream, and beige until you reach desired length, ending with 8 rows in denim blue.
8. Border: With cream, SC evenly around the entire lapghan, working 3 SC in each corner. Join with sl st to first SC. Work 1 more round of SC. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
