Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in two colors (A and B)
• 5.0 mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
• Scissors

• dc = double crochet

15 dc and 10 rows = 4" square

Instructions

Cuff

1. With Color A, ch 6.
2. Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across (5 sc). Turn.
3. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across (5 sc). Turn.
4. Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each st across (5 dc). Turn.
5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the cuff measures 4" long. Fasten off.

Body

1. With Color B, join yarn to the last row of the cuff.
2. Round 1: Ch 1, sc around, placing 3 sc in each corner (40 sc). Join with a slip stitch to the first sc.
3. Round 2: Ch 3, *dc in next st, ch 1, sk 1 st; rep from * around. Join.
4. Round 3: Ch 1, sc in each dc and ch-1 space around. Join.
5. Round 4: Ch 3, *fptr around next sc, ch 1; rep from * around. Join.
6. Continue alternating between rounds of dc and fptr for 10 rounds, while increasing by 10 sts evenly spaced each round.

Toe

1. Switch to Color A when the body measures 12" tall.
2. Round 1: sc in each st around (70 sc).
3. Round 2: Ch 1, *sc in next 2, dec; rep from * around (50 sc). Join.
4. Round 3: Ch 1, *sc in next st, dec; rep from * around (35 sc). Join.
5. Round 4: Ch 1, sc in each st around (35 sc). Join.
6. Round 5: Ch 1, *dec; rep from * around (18 sc). Join.

Finishing

1. Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Pull through remaining stitches and tighten.
2. Weave in all ends with a tapestry needle.
3. Attach a loop made from Color A at the top for hanging.
