Crochet Eco-Friendly Round Plarn Pot Scrubber Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • Plastic yarn (plarn) made from recycled plastic bags
  • Crochet hook size H/8 (5mm)
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

  • ch = chain
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • sc = single crochet
  • hdc = half double crochet
  • dc = double crochet

Instructions:

Round Scrubber:

  1. Make a magic circle.
  2. Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as first hdc), 11 hdc into the circle. Join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 2. (12 hdc)
  3. Round 2: Ch 2, hdc in the same stitch, 2 hdc in each stitch around. Join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 2. (24 hdc)
  4. Round 3: Ch 2, *hdc in the next stitch, 2 hdc in the next stitch*, repeat from * to * around. Join with a sl st to the top of the beginning ch 2. (36 hdc)
  5. Round 4: Ch 1, sc in each stitch around. Join with a sl st to the beginning sc. (36 sc)

Edge and Hanging Loop:

  1. Round 5: Ch 1, sc in the first 12 stitches, ch 12 (for loop), sl st in the same stitch, sc in remaining stitches. Join with a sl st to the beginning sc.
  2. Fasten off and weave in ends with a tapestry needle.
