Instructions

Patchwork Block (Make 72)

1. Foundation: Chain 20.
2. Row 1: Double crochet in the 4th chain from hook and in each chain across. (18 dc)
3. Row 2-9: Ch 3 (counts as a dc), turn. Dc in each st across.
4. Finish off and weave in ends.

Assembly

Lay out 6 blocks across and 12 blocks down in a pleasing order. Using a tapestry needle, whip stitch the blocks together in rows, then join the rows to form the blanket.

Border

1. Round 1: Attach yarn to any corner, ch 1, sc evenly around the entire blanket, placing 3 sc in each corner. Join with sl st to first sc.
2. Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 4 dc in same st, skip 2 sc, *5 dc in next sc (shell made), skip 2 sc; repeat from * around, and join with sl st to top of ch-3.
3. Fasten off and weave in any remaining ends.
