Materials Needed

Abbreviations

• ch - chain
• sc - single crochet
• sl st - slip stitch
• st - stitch
• inc - increase (2 sc in one stitch)
• dec - decrease (sc two stitches together)

Basket

With orange yarn:

1. Start with a magic circle, ch 1, 6 sc in circle. Join with sl st to first sc. (6 sts)
2. Round 2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
3. Round 3: (Sc in next st, inc in next st) around. (18 sts)
4. Round 4: (Sc in next 2 sts, inc in next st) around. (24 sts)
5. Round 5: (Sc in next 3 sts, inc in next st) around. (30 sts)
6. Continue in this pattern, increasing 6 sts each round until you have 60 sts.
7. Rounds 11-18: Sc in each st around. Maintain stitch count (60 sts).
8. Round 19: (Sc in next 8 sts, dec) around. (54 sts)
9. Rounds 20-22: Sc in each st around. (54 sts)
10. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Handle

With black yarn:

1. Ch 45, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (44 sts)
2. Fasten off and sew ends to the inside of the basket to form a handle.

Face Features

Eyes (Make 2 with black yarn):

1. Start with a magic circle, ch 1, 6 sc in circle. Join with sl st. (6 sts)
2. Fasten off and sew onto basket.

Mouth:
