Cozy Ribbed Knit Blanket

Materials

  • Approx. 1000 yards of worsted weight yarn in a soft, neutral color
  • US 8 (5 mm) circular knitting needles, 32-inch length or longer
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge

18 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in rib pattern (before blocking)

Abbreviations

  • CO - Cast On
  • K - Knit
  • P - Purl
  • BO - Bind Off

Instructions

Blanket

Cast On: CO 150 stitches.

Row 1: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of the row.

Row 2: *K2, P2; repeat from * to end of the row.

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until the blanket measures approximately 50 inches long, or desired length.

Bind Off: BO all stitches loosely in pattern.

Finishing

Weave in all loose ends using the tapestry needle. Block the blanket to measurements to ensure the proper shape and drape.
